How a brand can support local retailers
this newsletter is for the social athlete and Tivoli, NY
This weekend, inspired by our interview with Ariel Irby, we will be going to Dance Church. We’ll share our thoughts on Dance Church in next week’s newsletter.
Behind The Shelves: Meet The Drink for the Social Athlete
We love our “Shoppy shops,” and part of what makes them shoppy are the brands on the shelves. We’re starting a new interview series called “Behind The Shelves” to interview brands that have a strong presence at these stores! Courtside, a beverage for the social athlete, made its original debut at Monsoon Market and can now be found at Shoppy Shops across LA like Wine + Eggs and Bestie’s Vegan Market. We chatted with Courtside’s cofounder Ariel Irby about why she loves supporting these small retailers and what it means to be a beverage for the social athlete. Read the full interview here.
Store Happenings
Field Theory, a store for outdoor apparel, is having a winter sale that’s up to 60% off. If you find yourself in St. Louis, go visit! Or just shop the sale online here.
Yowie, a hotel & shop in Philly, was called a “Design Catalog in the Form of a Cozy, Colorful Hotel” by Design Milk. It’s a pretty cool shop and hotel. In fact, everything in the hotel rooms is shopable.
Lamps are having a real moment, specifically mushroom-style lamps. And there are even classes you can take to learn how to wire a lamp. Available Items in Tivoli, NY has a lamp-wiring class.
Store Highlight: Tivoli General
Tivoli General is an adorable store in the Hudson Valley. They are a specialty grocer and have a menu filled with delicious bites. It’s a perfect store to stop at if you’re doing a little getaway from NYC!
